Burglary Mystery-Lucky Escape?
Posted on Jul 28, 2009 under Time Share Resales | 11 CommentsMy son share’s a flat with 3 friends.Came back from Uni. to find the house had been burgled. One bedroom door smashed to smithereens anothers lock broken. His room door was open.Every drawer in the house searched, objects looked under etc.G.P. letters of two of them opened and looked through.Mystery is not a thing was taken except an old laptop with little or no resale value.€300 in cash left untouched!Wierd or what?
Edit-Take extra care everyone. This is probably the worst time for break-ins.
Agent Zero-The burglar cut himself badly getting in,blood evrywhere. They’re life long friends who all grew up together and all have great jobs.
Kam-All at work.My son’s doing a Masters and also works for a Mag.publisher.Son reckons he might have been scared off as he came in the gate!
Sammy-Good idea I’ll do that.
Edit – I repeat NOT AN INSIDE JOB.One at school teaching, another in the t.v. studio working the camera at the time and the third is also his workmate who he phoned at work, came straight home.
Filya-My theory is the person was looking for drugs which would account for the interest in the G.P. letters (hoping for prescriptions).Little did they know they picked the wrong house, not only do they not do drugs they are all fitness fanatics and my son has fought at amateur level in kick-boxing.If he’d still been there when John opened the door he’d have been toast.
Gards have been in -found a knife taken from the kitchen by the burglar, got his prints. Glad my son didn’t walk in on him!
Tell him to alert his bank credit cards etc as these people could well have taken details of these items also to check his passport birth certificate drivers licence.Silly things we often over look but can be used for id fraud
