time share, tickets combo’s?
Posted on Feb 20, 2010 under Disney Time Share |
I was wondering if anyone has ever done the Disney timeshare thing. I have found companies offering 2 adult tickets and a 2 day room stay in exchange you have to listen to the 90 minute sales pitch. Are they a rip off?
Disney Vacation Club timeshares are not a hard sell at all. Other properties we looked at in Orlando are (Mariott and Hilton). They said we’d be there for about 90 minutes. That turned into 4 hours of different levels of pressure by different sales people. It was horrible. They did give us Disney tickets, but made sure we felt like criminals before they handed them over to us.
We bought at Disney Vacation Club and I wouldn’t recommend the others because their selling policies were offensive to me. My time on a vacation is far more valuable than sitting thru a 3-4 hour timeshare presentation to get a ticket. There are too many cost effective properties in the Orlando area.

I have done a timeshare presentation before and they do vary from property to property. Some use hard sale tactics and may tie you up for more then 90 minutes, others seem to have learned people do not care for that approach. They will ‘pre-qualify’ prospective buyers by asking questions on age, income, marital status etc. before they extend the offer. If your budget is tight and you have the time to spare they make be worth looking into, just be prepared.
