Working part time at Disney World? 16 y/o student.?
Posted on Mar 28, 2010 under Disney Time Share |
Within the next month or maybe before summer, I’m really hoping to do some work at Disney World. I’m only 16, and I’m pretty serious about school, so I’m afraid I may be in over my head. But I’ve seen many of my friends work there and not become overwhelmed.
Anyways, does anyone know the process? I know I need to go to the Casting building, but from then one what? Fill in an application? Is there an interview the same day? Anything I should prepare for?
Also, will I be asked what type of work I’m interested in? Being 16 with no real experience (besides volunteer work), I’m grateful just getting a simple position. Should I explain I’m a student with a certain schedule?
Unfortunately I can’t really work during the summer since my family has other commitments, so I should start now or never.
And, if you have worked there as a student, how was it?
If you have even a little info, please share! Thanks!
Sweetie, If you are serious about school and you can only work for about a month, given your family’s prior commitments. I saw worry about school. Then do what I did if you still want to work for Disney, go into the Disney College Program. If you work for Disney now you might get to many hours, they are usually good with high schoolers. You sound like me, no previous work experience besides volunteer. Just focus on school right now. Then later on if you want to look into the Disney CP! I hope that helps!
