Good deal. …
Good deal. Hopefully it has under 150,000 miles and is in good shape. Toyota engines can last 250,000 to 300,000 miles or longer with proper maintance and little break downs. This is surely a buyer’s market now. Deals are everywhere. 2 years ago, I bought a 94 Honda Prelude Si for $3,000 cash when dealer was asking $5,000. Don’t be afraid to low ball the price, dealers over price expecting buyers to low ball them.

i went to look and …
i went to look and possibly buy a used 97 honda civic EX in 2006 with 40k miles in from a private party 2006. When i got there the seller already was talking to two other interested buyers. I researched the bluebook value which was = to their asking price. I bought it for $7,800 cash but now that I think back I should have haggled just to see what price my competition was at. The car is excellent though i put 35k more miles on it and only have done oil and tire changes. Dont be afraid to haggle.

LOWBALL! LOWBALL! …
LOWBALL! LOWBALL! LOWBALL! It only takes ONE “yes” to get yourself a steal on a house! all the rest!
One question though, Dan. You say to hold off for better deals on houses and cars, which I agree–prices are going down. But at what point should we be concerned about this dollar collapse? Obviously I want to wait until home prices continue to go down, but I don’t want to wait SO long that I end up with a pile of worthless paper (my down payment). This is the conundrum I’m in.

AGREED–When I …
AGREED–When I bought my Honda I got a better price for being an “internet customer” than I would have been given if I’d just walked into the showroom. The guy said the reason is because it’s harder to get internet customers into the dealership. Makes sense. I saved a grand just by doing that. Other than that though, Honda is a TOUGH company to get a deal with…especially on Civics! I learned that the only deal on a Civic is on one that’s been crashed lol.

Why are you telling …
Why are you telling people to be dishonest by them agreeing, signing, then have them call back and somehow voiding what they just signed. Whether you can do this legally or not. It is deceptive, dishonest, and very shady. That’s wrong, I enjoy your videos but this is one I don’t agree with. Why are you even saying it’s ok to do a timeshire. They are not cost effective at all, and a poor choice. Bad!!!!!!!

I worked for a …
I worked for a timeshare company (Wyndham). NEVER buy direct! Always buy resale timeshares…if you’re going to buy a timeshare at all. People want out of those things SO BAD and are willing to unload them for pennies on the dollar just so they can stop paying the annual fees! God I hated working in timeshare. I may be unemployed now, but at least I have my dignity back.

BETTER ADVICE ON …
BETTER ADVICE ON BUYING A NEW CAR: Go to the manufactures website, build exactly what you want. Get the price and printout and set up an appointment with the new car mgr. If you’ve done your homework you will know whether or not you are being treated fairly. Make sure you know what rebates are out there. Don’t be rude, you will be treated much better if you are nice and apprreciative. If you like the deal and you believe it is fair, then buy it then.
