So, im rather a big Disney fan. That said, the idea struck me to share my favorite of their films from the past eight years. I originally wanted to include 2009, but seeing as 2009 isnt over yet, I decided to stick with 2008. =D
Please note that the films and clips included in this vid are of my opinion. Your opinion is most likely different from mine, and I realize that. In fact, I encourage you to share your favorite moments from the films mentioned or ones I left out. Positive comments only, please. Im not trying to start a debate, just stating my opinion and looking for feedback on everyone’s fav Disney films from 00-08. =D
The Tigger Movie
-I mostly like this film because of it’s trueness to what Winnie the Pooh IS. It’s a simple, happy-go-lucky, kid-friendly show/book/movie series that is unashamedly innocent and resonates with kids both young and old. The voice acting in this film was by far the most emotional in anything of WTP, particularly from Tigger. I recall seeing this years ago, and this moment where Tigger realizes that family can be more than just someone related by blood still impresses me by how deep and emotional the film’s plot went. Rather impressive for WTP.
The Emperor’s New Groove
-This was probably the first dip in the pond of randomness Disney took. Random humor wasn’t always a given in movies, particularly back when this film was released. However, I recall liking it (and still liking it) due to it’s randomness (like Kronk’s scene here). Besides the cut-and-paste buddy-film plotline, the majority of the characters are likable and the overall film is great.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
-An often forgotten gem in the long line of Disney films. The animation in this film is gorgeous, and the style is particularly unique for Disney (it’s rather anime-ish). While many plot elements would, in reality, make no sense, the film is very enjoyable and the music score is addictive. There’s just something about it that causes it to stand out against other Disney films at the time ot it’s release.
The Princess Diaries
-Besides the return of Julie Andrews, this film has many endearing qualities that many can find themselves relating to. When this film came out I was but a teenager, and I remember relating to Mia so much it was almost scary: not fitting in, looking like a nerd, being invisible, etc. The film itself is funny, full of humor and one can find themselves relating to one of the characters very easily. The sequel, while interesting in itself, pales in comparison to the original.
Monsters, Inc.
-Among Pixar’s long list of films, this one shines with the best. The plotline was very original, the movie was a typical Pixar emotional tour de force, and the animation was the top of it’s time. This is a film I wouldnt mind getting stuck watching over and over while babysitting; it never ceases to amuse me. The fact that Boo was, indeed, voiced by a girl her own age whom was chased around with a microphone to capture her baby talk sounds is hilarious to me. A very great and moving film. =D
I own nothing; everything in this belongs to Disney or their proper owner.
Thanks for watching! Look for Part 2. =D

I made this video last May and as you could see in the beginning it is dedicated to my boyfriend Gil. If anyone was wondering we’ve been together for 4 strong years and during the summer after taking a “break” for a month (but really not lol) we both realized how much we loved each other. When we first started going out a lot of people said we were total opposites. Thus, this song has special meaning in our relationship. If anyone wants to know any other mushy stuff let me know lol. I hope you all like it
When I was a kid, I really dug all the classic Disney Cartoons that used to come on this wonderful segment. I also ended up finding the soundtrack at a Record store. Strangly enough , I found the CD after having thought I had lost it! It was kinda roughed up but it still works. So, I’m pretty sure its rare by now, and I’ve decided to share it by uploading it to You Tube. If you want to hear the rest, just say so and I’ll upload more whenever I have the time.
