Is it illegal to harass time-share people over the phone?
Posted on Jul 01, 2009 under Time Share |
So I got this call from a time-share company while my cell was off, and when I called back the guy asked if I had an appointemnt. I told him no and he became very rude, refusing to answer questions about his company. But I still have the number. So, my question is, can I get into legal trouble if I call them back several times and day and insult them when they answer the phone? I just want the people who work there to think twice about their jobs.
It seems to me that it is harrassment either way, them calling you or you calling them, however, intentional harrassment can be illegal.
However, if you call them and ask them the questions they ask you, and behave like you are the telemarketer, what’s the difference? Are they on a "do not call" list? That would be your only downfall.
Good luck with that, let me know how it comes out. I have a few telemarketers I’d like to do that to, as well.

Why? I think you are the one who needs to think twice about how you chose to spend your time.
Grow up.

NO. Insulting no. Harassing, possibly.I don’t know where you could draw the line on that one??? But why waste your time on people who choose dead end jobs? Hahahaha, you just gave me a wicked plan though…
