Is it possible to buy part of a pony in the UK? Like a time share kind of arrangement?
Posted on Aug 03, 2009 under Time Share | 5 CommentsIt’s a gift I’d like to get for my wife as we don’t have the property for a pony and we don’t have the time to own one competely. We could afford part of a pony and the cost of taking care of it though. Also hoping to find something in Cambridgeshire specifically and hopefully a Shetland or Dartmoor Pony.
check out your local free paper or ad’s paper, or even local riding stables! sometimes you get people who want to share or will hire you riding time…. sometime people are glad of the extra help, mucking out, cleaning feeding that they will do an exchange… let you have some hacking time!!

I wish you the best of luck with this. There are many places in California, and Washington, USA, but I don’t know in UK… It is an excellent option.

I know that in America we have that option in lots of places. When I was visiting Ireland I went riding at a stable where they were offering some horses for lease or part-lease. I am sure that there would be a barn near you that would be happy to share a pony. Also, if you live near lots of horses, you could see if any of your neighbors would want to part-lease. Or you could check local horse rescue programs.
Good luck!
