What is with all the time share pushers in Vegas?

Posted on Mar 30, 2009 under Time Share | 6 Comments

I just got back from my Honeymoon in Vegas and seriously why did everyone ask us if we wanted to buy a Time Share. I was on my honeymoon I wanted to see the city Not spend 4 hours hear and 4 hours there pretending to be interested in buying a time share when really I wanted to go to all the exhibits and shows. Has anyone else found this annoying?

They are as annoying as the ones passing out those escort cards. They are everywhere and pushy as can be. I live here and they still bother me when I tell them I live here. They say they something special of locals. Yeah right. I couldn't believe walking into the Venetian I was approached by well dressed pushers. I was very disappointed in the Venetian. I usually just look, smile and say politely .. NO. They usually smile back and walk away. The worse are the ones who start asking questions and won't let up. That is when I let them have it … I call them every name in the book and then when I walk back toward them later on they look away and avoid me. Get rid of the escort and the timeshare pushers and it would so much more enjoyable.

sure they are of course all over the place, whenever those OPCs (Off Premises People catchers"" approach just say no.

yes, i have been there numerous times and have been offered to go to time share meetings, it does get quite annoying. i think its because vegas is a big bucks place, and lots of people dont on the strip but want to spend more time there than they would by staying in one of the hotels, so they opt for timeshare.
i hope you had a lovely honeymoon, congratulations on getting married.

As a local taking friends to see my city, I agree. I either ignore or just so NO. Surprisingly there are visitors who like the freebies and go to "kill" time

They were really popular years ago. But eventually the novelty wore off when people realized just how expensive they are to own. There is a new group of cash spending unknowing population to once again hit up, and there are so many companies buying up time shares people are practically giving away free just to not have to keep paying on them, so there they are! I did one two years ago. I got some free vacation type coupons. I was shocked at how most of the places were nto even built yet, but they talk like they are. They started the presentation with a photo album of thier family…..it was really weird it was like, my moms sick and dads a cop and I need to help the family make money so come on please buy this. It was weird, but I had nothing better to do, needed the extra help getting any freebies I could on my vacation, my hotel was awesome at half price, and the free tickets to the aquarium was well worth the deal. I woudl not want to be barraged in Vegas though! I did this from online, and I will do it again the next time I go to that location to save on hotel costs, some of the best hotels hook up with these time share companies. I loved staying on the water!!!

Well it is pressure. But consider this . you can get a free vacation and just listen to the presentation and say No.
I worked for a TS for like 10 days and hated it. but not my or your problem. They give some real nice stuff away.
When I was married went to Cape Cod for a bargain and free hotel, free meals and stuff and we listened to the guy with sales pitch and said no. and he couponed up for a free meal.
so take advantage of the sales people.
you can come back again and get a free weekend.
